SolarFest is Looking for a Remarkable Executive Director
We are searching for an inspirational leader to join our 28-year-old nonprofit organization as the Executive Director. They will guide us into the next, exciting phase of our growth, leading further development and expansion of our music festival, renewable energy education programs, and other, new initiatives.
Your knowledge, creativity, and entrepreneurial spirit will support our mission to help fight climate change and promote climate justice with a year-round, volunteer-driven community from our new home in Brandon, Vermont. The festival remains a significant, ongoing part of the job, however, our 2023 initiatives will include year-round education, workforce training, product demonstrations, community solar and regenerative agriculture.
The Executive Director will have primary responsibility for the performance of the organization, working in partnership with the board, volunteers, and support staff in research, planning, capacity building, site management & development, communications, fundraising, and overseeing several public events a year, including our cornerstone weekend festival.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have a varied range of skills and senior management experience needed to lead effectively, along with knowledge of both the nonprofit and renewable energy fields, familiarity with artists and performers at music festivals, large events or the equivalent hospitality experience, and the hands-on enthusiasm and charisma essential in a volunteer-centric, non-traditional nonprofit.

Compensation
The salary for this full-time position will be in the $70-90,000 range, plus benefits, and a flexible work schedule.
