The Event:
SolarFest is a three-day renewably powered arts festival and renewable energy fair held on the beautiful Forget-Me-Not Farm near the intersections of VT Routes 133 and 140 in Tinmouth, Vermont, 14 miles southwest of Rutland. The festival features a variety of musical and theatrical entertainment, a songwriter showcase, and renewable energy displays and workshops, all powered by renewable energy. In addition, there are storytellers, crafts and food vendors, children's activities, and a choice of walk-in tent or car/RV camping.
We hope you'll join us in filling the festival grounds with a great diversity of renewable energy, sustainable living, food and crafts vendors/exhibitors.
Exhibitor Information / Policies:
- There is no electric power available and no generators are permitted
- Renewably powered booths are encouraged at SolarFest.
- The festival grounds has both an open field and a covered arena
- If weather permits/good field conditions, you can unload at the site but must move your vehicles to the parking area
- No vehicles allowed on festival grounds from 4 pm Friday – 6:00 pm Sunday
- Vendors are responsible for their own tent, tables, etc.
- Sponsors are provided tables & chairs in accordance with space size
- Dumpster and recycling center on grounds
- Preference given to sustainable products and services
- No Soliciting outside the confines of your assigned space
- Walk-in tent camping is free, Car/RV camping is $20 per Car/RV
- Cancellation requires 30 day notice and 20% cancellation fee – less than 30 days, no refund
- No dogs or pets of any kind but working guide dogs are allowed
- Absolutely No Glass on the premises. Forget-Me-Not Farm is a Therapeutic Horse Farm for 50 weeks out of the year and glass can be devastating to horses. Thank You!

Vendor spaces include one choice of the following:
- Two (2) full weekend passes (Friday included)
- Two (2) Friday, Two (2) Saturday, and two (2) Sunday passes
- One (1) full weekend and one (1) Friday, one (1) Saturday and one (1) Sunday pass.
Additional passes may be purchased in advance at the Early Bird rates of $30 full weekend or $25 Sat/Sun only by June 15, 2008, OR at our regular rates of $35 full weekend, $10 Friday only, $30 Sat/Sun only, $25 Saturday only and $20 Sunday only. Children 16 & under free when accompanied by an adult.
Schedule for SolarFest 2008
- Festival Hours: Friday, July 11 from 5 pm – 10 pm (Box Office opens at 3 pm, closes at 9pm), Saturday, July 12 from 9 am – 11 pm (Box Office opens at 8 am, closes at 10pm) and Sunday, July 13 from 9 am – 6 pm (Box Office opens at 8 am)
- Vendor/Exhibitor Access begins at 2 pm on Thursday, July 10 and 10 am on Friday, July 11. Vendors will be expected to be set up before 4 pm on Friday.
- We strongly urge you to set up as early as possible. Once the festival is under way on Friday no vehicles will be allowed on the grounds.
- Please plan to say until Sunday at 6 pm. We have many attendees who arrive midday on Sunday. They expect and deserve the opportunity to visit your booth.
Program Advertising:
We pre-publish our program in the beginning of June on newsprint. 5000 copies will be printed to be sent to SolarFest friends, donors, inquiries, distributed locally and thru RE outlets regionally as well as handed out at the gate.

Silent Auction Donation Information:
The Annual SolarFest Goods and Services Silent Auction will take place at the festival. Please consider donating to the silent auction as the proceeds go to support the basic operations of SolarFest, a 501(c)(3) non-profit. Donations committed by April 15 will be listed in the Festival Program.
Silent Auction Donor Benefits:
- Listing in Silent Auction Portion of the Festival Program
- Privilege to leave business cards for pick-up next to auction item
- Certificate for posting in your booth acknowledging your contribution
- Tax deduction (donation will be valued at wholesale cost)
- Donor Responsibility:
- Get product to festival by Friday, July 11 at 5 pm at no cost to SolarFest
- Provide description of product or service and contact information
- SolarFest Responsibility:
- Promote the auction item before and during the festival, providing donor recognition
- Provide space in covered arena and procedures for auction
- Notify high bidders
