ON-SITE CAMPING AT SOLARFEST

Click here to reserve your camping space and order your tickets!

We have two forms of camping:

  • Walk-in wooded primitive camping, which is free and plentiful;

  • Car/RV camping for a fee of $20 per Car/RV. Car/RV spaces are more limited, if you want to camp with your vehicle it's best to reserve a spot when you purchase your tickets.

Walk-in Camping
Walk-in camping is Free with the purchase of a weekend pass! Walk-in campers park in our festival parking lot and walk-in to our designated wooded camping area. You must carry in all your gear, there is no vehicle access to free walk-in camping.

Car/ RV Camping
Car/RV camping is available by reservation or on a first-come first served basis on Friday and Saturday during the festival. The designated car camping area is in the meadow directly above the festival grounds. The designated RV camping area is in a meadow across the road from the main festival parking lot. There are no RV hookups. Vehicle Camping passes are sold with full weekend gate passes only.  And, for the safety and sanity of all our campers and camping volunteers, access to vehicle camping will close at dusk (approx. 8pm). Please plan accordingly! We can not let you drive into the camping fields after dark, NO EXCEPTIONS!

Camping facilities include port-a-potties, access to our on site solar showers and water stations. Sleeping in your vehicle in the festival parking lot is strictly prohibited.

A few things you need to know before you come to camp:

No GLASS of any kind allowed on the festival site, including camping and parking areas. Beautiful Forget-Me-Not Farm, our home for the weekend of SolarFest, is a Therapeutic Horse Farm. Even a small bit of broken glass can pose life threatening risks to the health of the animals who live on this farm. We are VERY serious about this rule - NO EXCEPTIONS . Leave your glass bottles, cups, plates, mugs, etc. at home! Bring beverages in cans or plastic, or transfer them to thermal coolers prior to entering the festival grounds. Glass will be confiscated and we reserve the right to ask you to leave the festival grounds if you do not abide by this rule.

NO PETS of any kind allowed on the festival site, including camping and parking areas. For everyone's peace of mind and safety, pets are not allowed on the grounds, in the parking areas, and are definitely not allowed to sit in vehicles during the festival. The only exception is for certified Working Guide Dogs (and we may ask to see your dog's certification). Leave your pets at home! We reserve the right to ask you to leave if you bring an animal or leave one in your car. Area kennels can by found by searching googlemaps.com for kennels in Rutland , VT.

Please Clean up After Yourselves and Others. You are responsible for your own trash. And remember, SolarFest belongs to all of us. While at the festival please pitch in wherever you see a need. Pick up after yourself, others, and around your campsite - each year we find a stunningly small amount of trash left behind, a record we are proud to keep. Please do your part to keep SolarFest a model of respecting the earth and its human and non-human inhabitants.

RESPECT one another. If you decide to camp, be aware that tent walls are thin, and respect for the folks of all ages who come here includes keeping quiet after midnight and not using foul language. SolarFest stays a joyful event if we respect each other.

No Open Fires. This includes charcoal. Small camp stoves are permitted.
